This recipe is inspired by my favorite snack. Philadelphia Cream Cheese, ham and green onion, on a flour tortilla. I created an appetizer that features a crispy, cheesy outside, with a ham and cream cheese filling. So easy-so delicious!
• Servings: 24
• 24 slices of white bread
• 1 stick of butter
• 2 cloves of crushed garlic
• 12 slices of thick deli ham
• 8 ounce(s) of Chive and Onion Philadelphia Cream Cheese
• 1 cup(s) of grated parmesan cheese
• 2 tsp. of dried oregano
• 24 sprigs of fresh parsley
Steps
1. Trim crusts on bread slices. Save crusts to make croutons later.
2. Melt butter in microwave in a medium glass baking dish. Stir in garlic. If bread is very fresh and absorbent, you may need to melt additional butter-not a problem!
3. Cut deli ham in half.
4. In the middle of the ham, place approximately 1 1/2 tsp cream cheese. Fold in side edges, and then roll ham around cream cheese center.
5. Dip crustless bread in garlic butter.
6. Wrap buttered bread around ham and cream cheese bundle.
7. Combine oregano and shredded parmesan cheese on plate.
8. Roll appetizer in cheese mixture.
9. Place on baking sheet, and put into 400 degree oven for 10 minutes, or until center is warm, and outside is crispy and golden.
10. Serve Crispy Cream Cheese and Ham Rolls on serving platter. Enjoy!
