Move over pizza, here comes a fun dish with tons of Italian flavor! Using Philadelphia's new Cooking Creme, I created a wonderful fondue featuring rich and bold Italian flavors and topped with a beautiful, garlicky, focaccia crust. When you are looking for something "fun-to-do," create this cheese fondue for your friends and family tonight. As we know, anything dipped in cheese is great!
• 10 ounce(s) of Philadelphia Italian Cheese and Herb Cooking Creme
• 10 slices of Kraft Swiss cheese cut into small pieces
• 3/4 cup(s) of milk
• 13 ounce(s) of refrigerated classic pizza dough
• 1 clove of crushed fresh garlic
• 2 tbsp. of olive oil
• 1 cup(s) of cherry tomatoes
• 1 cup(s) of sugar snap peas
• 9 ounce(s) of fresh refrigerated tortellini’s
Steps
1. In a medium saucepan, combine Philadelphia Cooking Creme and diced Swiss cheese slices. Cook over medium heat until melted, stir in milk.
2. Spray 4 ramekins, or small crocks with cooking spray. Divide cheese sauce among containers.
3. Roll out rectangular pizza dough, cut dough into a square reserving extra. Divide large square into four more sections. Cut remainder of crust into 4 strips, twist into breadsticks.
4. Place one section of pizza crust on top of each of the cheese filled containers. Fold under edges.
5. Combine olive oil and garlic, brush over tops of fondues and breadsticks. Spray 1/2 of a cooking sheet with cooking spray. Place breadstick on greased side, fondues on the other. Bake at 425 degrees for 15 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
6. Cook tortellini as directed on package. When slightly cooled, place tortellini’s on wooden skewers.
7. Remove fondues from oven. Arrange fresh vegetables and tortellinis around fondue on serving plate. Happy dipping!
